The First Ever Lyra Art Festival
Inviting all art enthusiasts from ages 5-99 to the first Lyra Art Festival to be held at the Ali Mall Activity Center on April 10, 2010. Lots of fun and colorful activities await the attendees. Visit the Lyra Art Gallery exhibiting artworks created by children and college students alike. Create your own Smiley Face and win prizes. Or just test and doodle and paint with Lyra Coloring Materials in the freestyle area. The highlight of the festival is the art demo where participants can join by groups and help create a pet parade by making miniature parade floats using Hasbro's Littlest Pet Shop miniature dolls.
With a variety of Lyra products to choose from-- crayons, watercolors, colored pencils and modeling clays; all safe and made of the highest quality materials—the festival will be one unforgettable summer event.
As a bonus, school children who attend will get 10% discount off Lyra products sold at the venue. Lyra, the German brand of art products, is exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Merit and sold in National Bookstores. Add to that, attendees will automatically become a member of the Lyra Art Club. Membership benefits include ID, quarterly newsletters and special invitation to Lyra and Merit-sponsored events.

And the Winners For Lyra Gel Crayons Ta Da Are:
Artworks were based on 60% image impact, 20% gel crayons skill and 20% age appropriateness.
We apologized if the color come out bluish in the screen. But the artworks are all colorfully and beautifully compelling. Thank you to all the participants. We will contact the school from where the winners come from and inform them of the awarding date. We are planning to do a reception for the art show featuring all the participants artwork next year 2009. All participants shall receive a free Lyra Art Club founding membership worth P250.00.
Third Prize goes to : Grade 6 student, Carla Angela Antonio of La Immaculada Concepcion School.
Second Prize goes to : Grade 4 student, Trisha Co Reyes of St. Stephen's High School.

The First Ever Lyra Gel Crayons Art Contest
Elementary students from Grades 4-6 in Metro Manila submitted their gel crayons entries in the first Lyra Art Contest in the Philippines. So many nice artworks, just three to choose from... Judges are having a hard time. Same as oil pastel contest, artworks will be judged on image impact, the use of the medium, and age appropriateness. Winners will be proclaimed on Dec 10, 2008.
