Halloween Fun with Lyra at Dusit and Sofitel
This coming Halloween, Lyra will conduct art and craft activity for kids in Manila's two best hotels; Dusit Hotel and Manila Sofitel Hotel. Fun begins at 11:30 on October 26th, Sunday at Dusit Hotel in Makati. And brunch time on November 2nd, Sunday at Manila Sofitel. Call the hotel for more details. Look for the Lyra corner and have fun. The Lyra art and craft activity is co-sponsored by merit paper products.

JOIN THE CLUB
Calling all art enthusiasts, ages 5-99. Join the club and learn new techniques, meet other artists, swap ideas, engage in artistic play, doodle, color, decorate, create and simply have fun.
Membership fee includes : 1 full year of membership in the Lyra Art Club, Lyra Art Kit, Club I.D., 2 newsletters and free admission to all Lyra Art Festivals throughout the year. One year membership fee is P500.00. Registrants under 13 who are going to the Art Festival and who are accompanied by adults will both be charged. Registrant will be charged the same one time P500.00 membership fee and the accompanying adult will be charged P50.00 but without the membership kit.
To join, simply write to the lyraartclub@gmail.com. Include your name, address, phone, email address, birthday, age, gender and school if still a student.

Workshops
We conducted several art workshops teaching techniques for the use of Lyra gel crayons and acrylic colors. These are the artworks of the participants of the workshops. We started the sessions with serious faces watching and listening to the moderator. At the end of the sessions, everyone went away with a happy face. Indeed, Art is stimulating for the mind and soothing for the soul.
The First Lyra Art Contest
Lyra is for the first time sponsoring an art contest in the Philippines.
1. The contest is open to all elementary students nationwide.
2. There shall be two categories : Category 1 is for all Grade 1-3 students. Medium shall be Lyra Oil Pastel. Category 2 is for all Grade 4-7 students. Medium shall be Lyra Gel Crayons with wash effect.
3. The theme of the contest is Christmas Festivity in the Philippines.
4. One entry per student.
5. Artwork should be rendered in Illustration Board (15X20) and proof of purchase of Lyra products should be attached at the back of illustration board. Aside from attached proof of purchase, all submitted artwork should be labelled at the back indicating name of student, level, school, tel no.
6. Entries should be submitted on or before November 28, 2008 by mail to Statiana Stationery, Inc. 6th floor, Filipino Building, 135 dela Rosa St., Legaspi Village, Makati City Metro Manila.
7. Awarding will be on December 6, 2008. Venue to be announced later.
8. All participants will be given Certificate of Participation and Appreciation.
9. Winners of the contest will be awarded trophy and cash prizes accordingly. First Prize -P5,000.00, Second Prize - 3,000.00, Third Prize - 2,000.00.
10. All Participants will automatically be members of the Lyra Art Club Philippines which will be launched on December 6, 2008.

Lyra Art Blogpost - First in the Philippines
Statiana Stationery Inc, importer of Lyra of Germany coloring products, is launching the Lyra Philippines art blogspot. The blogspot is the first Philippines art blogspot. Lyra is one of Europe's- most notably Germany- top brand of coloring materials. It has a wide range of artist materials for students as well as a fine studio line for professional and serious artist.
